  • If you are tired of castles and monasteries this is the place to visit. We took the two hour jeep tour with David as our guide and the family dog as my companion. First of all, David spoke English exceptionally well and gave us a wealth of information on the history of the farm and the cork business and winery. The views were spectacular. I was able to purchase a great bottle of wine for later.

  • We traveled to Maroteira during cork harvest time. We didn't plan on it, but got lucky. What a sight! It is a lovely experience that I recommend to everyone. José, who was our tour guide, along with the enthusiastic and friendly dogs, accompanied us the whole time and it was great fun.
